María Sancho recibe una ayuda a la investigación en cáncer en Zaragoza por la AECC

María Sancho receives a grant for cancer research in Zaragoza from the AECC – 3rd April, recognition ceremony

On the 3rd of April, at 18:00, at the Joaquín Roncal Centre in Zaragoza, the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) will be holding the AECC (Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer) Research Grant Award Ceremony, an event which will recognise the researchers who have benefited from an AECC grant and where there will be a round table discussion.

Dr. María Sancho Albero has been the beneficiary of one of the eight post-doctoral grants awarded nationally (Ayuda Talento Postdoctoral 2023) to carry out her research project in the NFP group, led by Professor Jesús Santamaría, from the Instituto de Nanociencia y Materiales de Aragón (INMA), a joint institute of the CSIC and the University of Zaragoza.

María Sancho is a researcher at the University of Zaragoza at the Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragon since October 2023. In 2015, she graduated in Biotechnology at the University of Zaragoza and five years later, there, she obtained her PhD in Chemical Engineering. María continued to grow. From 2021 to 2023 she did a postdoctoral stay at the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research (Milan, Italy).

His research work aims to advance the development of advanced therapies based on nanoparticles and extracellular vesicles, facilitating the translation of nanotechnology-derived products to the clinical setting to deliver drugs efficiently and selectively to tumours.
