Call for the best thesis award in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology

CALL FOR THE BEST THESIS AWARD IN THE FIELD OF NANOSCIENCE AND NANOTECHNOLOGY

The Cátedra SAMCA de Nanotecnología supports and encourages research projects in different thematic lines in the field of nanotechnology, including doctoral theses. One of its objectives is to publicise the latest advances in the field of nanotechnology through dissemination, as well as to promote the transfer of this knowledge to companies for the ultimate benefit of society.

The Campus de Excelencia Internacional del Valle del Ebro (Campus Iberus) is an initiative of strategic aggregation of the universities of Zaragoza, Pública de Navarra, La Rioja and Lleida. One of its objectives is to become a space for exchange in which research and knowledge transfer are promoted.

In order to promote and recognise quality doctoral research, the SCátedra SAMCA de Nanotecnología, in collaboration with the Iberus Campus of Excellence, agreed to initiate a programme of awards for the best thesis in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology. In this third edition, the call is aimed at researchers who have defended their doctoral thesis in the academic year 2021/2022.

DEADLINE AND PROCEDURE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS:

1. Authors of doctoral theses defended at Campus Iberus universities during the academic year 2021/22 who wish to apply for this doctoral award must send their application to the Committee set up for this call.

2. The deadline for submission of applications is from the day after the publication of this call until 10th March 2023, inclusive.

3. Each candidate must complete and submit the application form:

https://forms.gle/tj2piGGZxRpUHXw29

In this form a space is provided to upload the CV and handwritten motivation letter, the documents accrediting the merits described in the CV (in a single .pdf file) and a video of no more than 3 minutes (maximum capacity 10Mb) describing the main achievements of the thesis, its applicability and the possibility of transferring these results to industry.

(The terms and conditions of the call are attached).
