VII convocatoria premio mejor tesis de la Cátedra SAMCA de Nanotecnología

Application deadline: 8 January 2027

The SAMCA Chair of Nanotechnology supports and encourages research projects across various thematic areas within the field of nanotechnology, including the undertaking of doctoral theses. One of its objectives is to raise awareness of the latest advances in nanotechnology through dissemination activities, while also promoting the transfer of this knowledge to industry for the ultimate benefit of society.

The Ebro Valley International Campus of Excellence (Campus Iberus) is a strategic alliance bringing together the Universities of Zaragoza, Public University of Navarre, La Rioja and Lleida. Among its objectives is the creation of a collaborative environment that fosters research and knowledge transfer.

With the aim of promoting and recognising high-quality doctoral research, the SAMCA Chair of Nanotechnology, in collaboration with Campus Iberus, established an award programme for the best PhD thesis in the fields of nanoscience and nanotechnology. In this seventh edition, the call is aimed at researchers who defended their doctoral thesis during the 2025/2026 academic year.

APPLICATION DEADLINE AND SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

  1. Authors of doctoral theses defended at the universities of Campus Iberus during the 2025/2026 academic year who wish to apply for this doctoral award must submit their application to the Committee established for this call.
  2. The application period will run from the day following the publication of this call until 8 January 2027, inclusive.
  3. Each applicant must complete and submit the application form:https://forms.gle/Ab2mLx8LsjCAzdcv8

The form includes a section for uploading the applicant’s CV and a handwritten motivation letter, supporting documentation for the achievements listed in the CV (compiled into a single PDF file), and a video of no more than three minutes in length (maximum size: 10 MB) describing the main achievements of the thesis, its potential applications, and the possibilities for transferring the results to industry.

Applicants will receive an email confirming successful receipt of their application.
