🆕 Today, at a press conference, the great news was announced that two young researchers from the Universidad de Zaragoza have been awarded the prestigious Starting Grant from the European Research Council (ERC), with €1.5 million in funding each to promote cutting-edge science 🚀
🧬 Our researcher, María Sancho (Instituto de Nanociencia y Materiales de Aragón, INMA, a joint CSIC-UNIZAR institute, and the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Aragón – IIS Aragón) will investigate how to improve the effectiveness of nanotherapies against metastasis by redesigning the surfaces of nanomaterials and extracellular vesicles.
🔬 And Ana Serrano (Instituto de Investigación en Ingeniería de Aragón, I3A) will study how to optimise immersive technologies (XR) for applications in telemedicine, surgeon and pilot training, education, heritage conservation and more.
👉 Yet another example of the young talent that is driving science from Aragon to the world.
