Thermochemical Processes Group (GPT)
Plasmas are basically ionized states of matter. They can not only provide the heat needed to overcome the energetic barriers of a chemical reaction, but also open up more favorable reaction pathways, resulting in the acceleration of kinetically impeded processes, moreover when combined to a reactive solid, i.e., a catalyst.
Research Interests
Plasmas, plasma-catalysis, CO2 recycling, electrification, renewable carriers.
