The Surface and Coatings Characterisation Service obtains the approval of its Quality Commitment Charter
The Surface and Coatings Characterisation Service has just obtained the approval of its Quality Commitment Charter (CCC) by the Spanish National Research Council (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas). These charters are aimed at adopting commitments to excellence in the provision of the services offered, seeking the efficiency of its resources and the satisfaction of its customers.
The Surface and Coatings Characterisation Service (SCR) consists of three pieces of equipment, an optical 3D profilometer, a nanoindenter and a local probe microscope, and provides the following services: obtaining high-resolution topographies, without the need for special sample preparation; measuring the mechanical properties of coatings, such as hardness and Young’s modulus; studies of physical properties at the nanoscale as a function of external parameters. The service also offers training for users, providing them with the necessary knowledge to use the equipment through self-service.
The Surface and Coatings Characterisation Service (CSR) is part of the Scientific and Technical Services Unit of the Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragon (INMA) and the Institute of Chemical Synthesis and Homogeneous Catalysis (ISQCH), both joint centres of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the University of Zaragoza. This Scientific and Technical Services Unit has a total of seven services, equipped with the most advanced scientific instrumentation, analysis, measurement and testing equipment, and whose mission is to provide advice and service to public and private organisations that request it.
