Prize for the Best Thesis in the Field of Nanotechnology, promoted by the Cátedra SAMCA de Nanotecnología

Anna Molet-Rodríguez, from the University of Lleida, wins the First Prize for the Best Thesis in the Field of Nanotechnology.

Anna Molet-Rodríguez wins the First Prize with her Thesis based on the encapsulation of food additives, entitled: “Design and application of emulsion-based delivery systems as carriers of antimicrobials or bioactive compounds into complex food matrices”.
The Cátedra SAMCA de Nanotecnología supports and encourages research projects in different thematic lines in the field of Nanotechnology, including the completion of doctoral theses. The aim is to publicise the latest advances in the field of Nanotechnology through dissemination, as well as to promote the transfer of this knowledge to companies for the ultimate benefit of society.
The Campus de Excelencia Internacional del Valle del Ebro, Campus Iberus, is an initiative of strategic aggregation of the universities of Zaragoza, Pública de Navarra, La Rioja and Lleida. One of its objectives is to become a space for exchange in which research and knowledge transfer are promoted.
In order to promote and recognise quality doctoral research, the Cátedra SAMCA de Nanotecnología, in collaboration with the Iberus Campus of Excellence, agreed to create a programme of awards for the best thesis in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, which began with the call for the academic year 2020/2021.
