Elena Atrián Blasco, INMA researcher, will participate in the 71th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting
The INMA researcher Elena Atrián Blasco has been selected to participate in the prestigious Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting as a young researcher. Elena is a postdoctoral researcher at the institute since joining in 2019 with the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship. Her research focuses on the development of new antimicrobial and antibiofilm materials, formed from inorganic molecules such as metal complexes and polyoxometalates.
The conference will unite 32 confirmed Nobel laureates, mainly from the categories of chemistry and physiology and medicine, with young scientists from all around the world.
The meetings focus alternately on the three Nobel Prize disciplines of natural sciences, physiology and medicine, physics and chemistry. An interdisciplinary meeting revolving around the three natural sciences is held every five years. In addition, the Lindau Meeting on Economic Sciences is held every three years.
The scientific programme of each Lindau meeting includes lectures, debates, master classes, poster sessions and panel discussions. In addition, the meeting features scientific walks of Nobel laureates with young scientists, lunches, lectures and meeting places, which encourage exchange and conversation between young researchers and Nobel laureates.
