On 26 March 2026, following the jury’s deliberations, the winner of the sixth edition of the award was announced on our website.

The award has been presented to D. José Ignacio García Peiro for his doctoral thesis (carried out at INMA): “Platinum-driven catalysis for cancer therapy”.

This recognition highlights research of great impact in the field of nanoscience, with promising applications in the field of health.

We offer our congratulations on this excellent work and for contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge.

We would also like to thank the other candidates for their participation and highlight the exceptionally high standard of all the theses submitted, which made this edition a particularly competitive competition.
