Presentation of the Severo Ochoa and María de Maeztu scientific accreditations, organised at the Paraninfo of the University of Zaragoza
Yesterday, 16th July 2025, the 17th Severo Ochoa and María de Maeztu scientific accreditations were awarded at the Paraninfo of the University of Zaragoza.
The incorporation of the Aragon Nanoscience and Materials Institute (INMA), a joint CSIC-University of Zaragoza centre, as a new Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence since last year was celebrated.
Among other authorities in attendance were the Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities (Diana Morant), the Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Sports and Government Spokesperson (Pilar Alegría), the President of the CSIC (Eloísa del Pino), the Vice-President for Research (José Mª Martel), the Director of the AEI (Eloísa del Pino), the Director of the AEI (José Mª Martel) and the Director of the AEI (José Mª Martel), the Director of the AEI (José Manuel Fernández de Labastida), the Government Delegate in Aragón (Fernando Beltrán), the Vice-Rector for Science Policy of the University of Zaragoza (María Pilar Pina Iritia), the Vice-Rector for Innovation, Transfer and Lifelong Learning (Manuel González Bedia) and the CSIC Delegate in Aragón (Mª Jesús Lázaro).
During the event, a round table was held to present the experience of the SO/MM and what it means. Fernando Peláez (CNIO), Mabel Loza (USC) and Luis Martín Moreno (INMA) took part in the round table.
