STORM-BOTS Workshop “LCE-based Soft Robotics: from Materials to Functions”, 1 and 2 February 2024 at Etopia

Within the MSCA-ITN STORM-BOTS project (GA: 956150), the Workshop “LCE-based Soft Robotics: from Materials to Functions” will be held on 1 and 2 February at the Etopia centre (Avda. Ciudad Soria, 8, Zaragoza). This event will feature talks by the project’s researchers and guest lectures by renowned researchers in the field of functional materials, liquid crystal elastomers, advanced manufacturing, and soft robotics.

The workshop is open to the entire scientific community.

About the project: STORM-BOTS (Soft and Tangible Organic Responsive Materials progressing roBOTic functionS) is a training network funded by the European Commission with 3.5 million euros through the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Call for Actions of the H2020 framework programme (Grant Agreement no. 956150). The network is coordinated by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and involves 17 universities, research institutes, companies in the field of robotics and other institutions from Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, the UK, Switzerland, Finland and Spain. STORM-BOTS aims to train 13 young researchers in the area of materials for soft robotics. Three of these researchers are working on their doctoral theses at the IInstituto de Nanociencia y Materiales de Aragón (INMA), a joint centre of the CSIC and the University of Zaragoza.
