Nanotecnología, el futuro ya está aquí

Our Institute, in its efforts to disseminate and promote scientific culture in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, has produced the documentary project “Nanotecnología, el futuro ya está aquí” in which, through three episodes, it presents the advances of its research in the field of Nanotechnology and the real applications in everyday consumer products.

This project has been organised by our Institute and funded by the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología (FECYT) – Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad and the Cátedra SAMCA de Nanotecnología, from the Universidad de Zaragoza.

Nanoscience and Nanotechnology is an emerging science but it is already finding applications in a multitude of everyday products that surround us, from the clothes we wear to the surfaces we touch. The documentary has been made with the participation of renowned researchers from the Institute of Nanoscience of Aragon, a leading research centre whose research transcends the borders of Aragon.

The documentary has been made following a specific narrative structure that facilitates the transmission and understanding of the scientific content, telling the viewer what nanotechnology is, an emerging area of knowledge and where multiple singularities are combined that make it a field with potential for development and great applications in our lives. The viewer is offered a close and natural look at what nanotechnology may have in store for us in the future.

The documentary is made up of three episodes, each with two research topics, covering the main fields of scientific research:
