Doctoral thesis defence at INMA: Miguel Ángel Morales-Zapata
On Thursday 23 March, Ángel Morales-Zapata will defend his thesis at the Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragon (INMA), CSIC-University of Zaragoza, whose doctoral thesis is entitled “Development of high-temperature electrolyzers: Search for new efficient electrodes and design of advanced microtubular electrolyzers”.
Supervisors: Miguel Ángel Laguna & Ángel Larrea.
The Doctoral Thesis defence ceremony will take place on Thursday 23 March, at 16:00 h, in the Sala de Grados of the Torres Quevedo Building of the Río Ebro Campus of the University of Zaragoza.
Summary: The overall scope is the development of new air electrode materials for advanced high-temperature microtubular electrolyzers. It is divided in two parts: First, ananalysis of Pr-and Gd-doped ceria an its application as air electrodes insymmetrical cells. The second part is focused on the fabrication, electrochemical characterization of microtubular single-cells, and the study of stability and degradation phenomena under reversible solid oxide cell operation.
