The Master’s thesis of a young researcher at the Aragon Nanoscience and Materials Institute (INMA, CSIC-Unizar) has been recognised as one of the best in the country in the CSIC-AEAC Research Awards on Antimicrobial Resistance. Specifically, Paula Novella Rodríguez (CSIC at INMA) is one of only three finalists in this national initiative, which recognises young scientists for the quality and impact of their work on one of the greatest global health challenges.
These awards, promoted by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Spanish Association for the Advancement of Science (AEAC), aim to foster emerging research and highlight young talent in the field of biomedicine and the fight against antimicrobial resistance.
The recognition of Paula Novella’s (2001) work for her Master’s thesis “Antimicrobial organic-inorganic hybrids based on polyoxometalates and polypeptides” highlights the scientific excellence being developed at INMA, as well as its ability to contribute from an early stage to scientific challenges of international scope.
At INMA, we celebrate this achievement and are encouraged to continue advancing as a benchmark for attracting and developing young talent, thanks to a centre-wide initiative in which we combine high-level training, interdisciplinary collaboration and access to cutting-edge scientific technology.
