La Noche Europea de los Investigadores e Investigadoras 2024

European Researchers’ Night, INMA, 27/09/2024

INMA participates in two venues:

PARANINFO

Stand: Interactive workshops on green hydrogen. Researchers will show the electrochemical processes involved in its production and its use as a fuel. Time: 17:00-20:00.

Researchers: Juan Zueco, Aída Alconchel, Andrés Campos and Carmen de la Torre.

Coffee with Scientists: 18.30-19:30. Pepa Martínez-Pérez. Conversation over coffee with the participants of the campaign ‘I am a scientist. I live in your neighbourhood’ campaign.

CAIXAFORUM

The INMA will participate with 3 stands at the Research Fair. Time: 17:30-21:30.

Stand 1: Presentation of the three main lines of INMA as a Severo Ochoa centre through interactive workshops: (1) Technologies for CO2 capture and reuse, (2) Nanomaterials for biomedicine, and (3) Quantum technologies.

Researchers: Pilar Tarifa, M. Elena Gálvez, Álvaro Cacicedo, M. Sofía Navarrete, Cristina Momblona, María Sancho, Antonio Luna, M. Isabel Sánchez, Lucía García, Jorge Pérez, Santiago Sarasa, Jesús A. Fuentes, A. Cristina Flavián, Mariarosaria de Simone, Amira Páez, Mariella Malefioudaki, Lucía Gutiérrez, Beatriz Zornoza.

Stand 2: Carrying out workshops related to the STORM-BOTS project.

Researchers: Elena Atrián Blasco, Paolo Sartori and Erik Espindola.

Stand 3: presentation of the winning projects of the 9th edition of the FEnanoMENOS competition.

With students from the Atades-San Martín de Porres school (Ismael Fernández, Alba Cánovas, Douae Akkaoui, Nacho Madrazo, Anastasia Kovalets and Hugo Belloc) and from IES Clara Campoamor (Hanqui Tang, Eduardo Marín and Avril Lorenzo).

Other formats:

  • NanoAsalto Exhibition (Hall Room 2, 2nd floor, from 18:00). Researchers: Lucía Gutiérrez Marruedo and Lucía García Recaredo.
  • Speed Dating (Cafeteria, Pass 1: 18:00-19:00). Researcher: Alexandre Lancelot.
  • The voice of research: short talks
    • ‘Nanomaterials for energy’, by Cristina Momblona (Auditorium, Pass 1: 19:00-20:00).
    • ‘Microchips for smart cities’, by José María de Teresa (Auditorium, Pass 2: 20:15-21:15).
    • ‘How to capture CO2 efficiently? The challenges of Membrane Technology’, by Beatriz Zornoza (cafeteria, Pass 3: 20:00-21:00).
