V Nanotechnology Gala

The SAMCA Chair of Nanotechnology in its work of dissemination and promotion of scientific culture, develops, since 2011, different actions to approach Nanotechnology. Among these activities is the Nanotechnology Gala with four editions held since 2019 successfully and with great media coverage.
Continuing with the success of the previous Galas, the SAMCA Chair of Nanotechnology will celebrate the awaited V Nanotechnology Gala. An informative event full of humour, music, science and this year also Magic.
The V Nanotechnology Gala of Aragon will take place next Friday 21st June from 17:45h in the CaixaForum Zaragoza Building. The Gala will be presented by Marisol Aznar and David Angulo (actors of the Oregon Television program) and will feature a keynote speech by Dr. Isabel Pastoriza, researcher at the Centre for Research in Nanomaterials and Biomedicine, University of Vigo. The event will be completed with live music, live illustration, the performance of the RISArchers, a group of monologue researchers from the University of Zaragoza, the scientific magic of Pepin Banzo and Helena Perdomo.
In addition, the winners of the 9th edition of the FECYT FEnanoMENOS project will participate in this gala. This is an opportunity to give visibility to the project, generate additional recognition and above all connect participants with society in a playful context and open to the general participation of all types of public.
The Award for the Best Thesis in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology of the 2024 call will also be presented; the name of the winner of the INMAGINA Award will be revealed, which highlights the best project presented in the 2024 call; and the prize will be awarded to the winner of the Materializa REAL Competition, which aims to provide value in research transfer, making functional prototypes and proofs of concept that can support the commercialisation of a product, through the possible future creation of a spin-off or technology-based company EBT.
The Gala is organised by the SAMCA Chair of Nanotechnology with the collaboration of the Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragon (INMA), a joint institute of the University of Zaragoza and the CSIC.
