A unique event that brings advances in nanotechnology to the whole society in an entertaining and participatory way
Zaragoza – The Cátedra SAMCA de Nanotecnología of the University of Zaragoza will celebrate the 6th Nanotechnology Gala on June 27th at 6:00 pm at CaixaForum Zaragoza. This event, which combines scientific dissemination with entertainment, will feature a lot of humor and a main conference framed in the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology 2025.
Outstanding program
- Family activities: From 5:00 pm, interactive workshops on nanotechnology for all audiences (see registration on page 3)
- Main show: Presented by renowned comedians Encarni and Jota (Teatro Indigesto), with live illustration by Dani García Nieto and scientific monologues by the group RISArchers, formed by researchers from the University of Zaragoza.
- Informative talk on Quantum Physics, given by the CSIC researcher at INMA, Pepa Martínez Pérez, with the title: “Quantum physics is not so strange”
- Awards and recognitions:
- Delivery of the Award for Best Thesis in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology 2025.
- Revealing of the winner of the INMAGINA Award for the best innovative project.
- Materializa REAL Award for prototypes with commercial potential.
- Participation of young talents: Exhibition of the winners of the FEnanoMENOS project: a science outreach project for high school students in Aragon and promoted by FECYT. (Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology).
An event with a track record
Since its first edition in 2019, the Nanotechnology Gala has established itself as a benchmark in science outreach in Aragon, attracting hundreds of attendees and receiving extensive media coverage. This edition, organized in collaboration with the Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragon (INMA, CSIC-UNIZAR), promises to exceed expectations with new surprises.

A dynamic workshop in the form of storytelling in which the little ones will face a mission: to find the material of the future. Through various challenges and with the help of the materials contained in the secret suitcase of nanoscience, they will have to find the solution.

Spies of the Nano
Dive into the fascinating world of nanotechnology with this workshop! Designed for children from 6 years old, this exciting workshop will allow them to explore the incredible properties of nanomaterials while having fun putting themselves in the shoes of a spy who must investigate phenomena inspired by nanotechnology.
This workshop for participants from 6 years old is part of the VII Nanotechnology Gala of the SAMCA Nanotechnology Chair of the University of Zaragoza, in collaboration with the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) – Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragon (INMA, CSIC-Unizar).
