The Asalto Festival fills up with science with NanoAsalto Evolution

This Saturday, 23 September, the Asalto Festival will be filled with science with NanoAsalto Evolution. An outreach project that seeks to unite science and art.

Through two activities that will take place in the Espacio Asalto, some of the possibilities that nanoscience offers us and that can be applied in the development of artistic or creative actions will be explored.

The activities, which will take place on 23 September, are aimed at children aged 5 to 12 years old and are: NANOSTAMP, exploring the possibilities offered by nanoscience and the possibilities that can be applied in the development of artistic or creative actions:

NANOSTAMP, exploring nanoscience through creative printing: In this fun workshop you will immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the small. Through the techniques of carving and stamping, geometric figures inspired by the field of nanoscience will be created. Later, with a series of special inks, these shapes will be printed on paper and other materials. In the course of the workshop, you will discover how geometric shapes are connected to fascinating concepts in nanoscience.

MetNANOrphosis: In this exciting workshop, you will discover how nanotechnology is transforming our world in surprising ways, and how art merges with scientific innovation. Through a hands-on experience, you will design and create nano-inspired jewellery. You will use materials such as thermochromic and UV-reactive beads and other nano-inspired elements to create bracelets, necklaces, brooches or other accessories that change colour or reflect light in unique ways.

Registration is now open via the following link: https://www.festivalasalto.com/actividades/

This workshop is part of the NanoAsalto Evolution project, organised by the Instituto de Nanociencia y Materiales de Aragón (INMA), a joint institute of the CSIC and the University of Zaragoza, with the collaboration of the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología – Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación.
