Martes Cuánticos: Jörg Schmiedmayer, from the Vienna University of Technology
Today at 12:30 p.m., in the Mathematics Auditorium, the second lecture in the ‘Quantum Tuesdays’ series will take place, which, as is becoming tradition, is held on Mondays.
It will be given by Professor Jörg Schmiedmayer, from the Vienna University of Technology, and will be entitled ‘What can we know about a quantum many-body system?’.
He will illustrate experimental results obtained on networks of ultra-cold atoms trapped in chips, a technique he developed himself, with the aim of simulating new phases and phenomena in highly correlated systems, which form part of his Advanced ERC Grant project.
