Eva Villaver, Research Professor at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias and deputy director of the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands.
“And the Earth… will it end in fire? Chronicles of the fate of the Solar System”.
On our planet we have a couple of certainties: the first is that since the conditions were given, life conquered the entire planet and the second is that as the Sun exhausts its fuel those conditions for life will cease to be possible. In this talk I will explore the future of our star and the possibilities that, although remote, exist for life to have a second chance.
