INMA seminar: “Advances in Photo-Switchable Nanomagnets and Magnetic Dendrimers”
The Aragon Nanoscience and Materials Institute (INMA) is pleased to host a new seminar by Dr Valérie Marvaud, from the Institut Parisien de Chimie Moléculaire (Sorbonne Université). The talk, entitled “Advances in photo-switchable nanomagnets and magnetic dendrimers”, will be given in English and is open to the whole scientific community.
High-spin molecules and photomagnetic compounds are attracting growing interest because of their potential applications in information storage, optical switching and quantum technologies. In this context, octacyanomolybdate and octacyanotungstate complexes are emerging as highly promising building blocks, both for their ability to alter their magnetic properties when exposed to light and for their versatility in designing multicomponent architectures with multiple functionalities.
The presentation will focus on two complementary research themes: high-spin and photomagnetic molecules, on the one hand, and magnetic and luminescent dendrimers, on the other.
We look forward to welcoming you to this meeting of molecular chemistry and magnetism.
