The Aragon Nanoscience and Materials Institute (INMA) invites you to the lecture “From synthetic strategy to the structure of functional materials: A chemist’s perspective”, delivered by Mario Alberto Macías López, Associate Professor at Universidad de los Andes (Colombia).
The seminar will explore how synthetic approaches and structural analysis enable the design of functional materials with tailored properties for applications in energy, environment, and technology. Topics include synthetic methodologies, crystal engineering, and structural investigations across inorganic oxides, coordination polymers, MOFs, hybrid perovskites, and organic compounds. Selected research contributions will illustrate how subtle changes in synthetic conditions can lead to distinct structural outcomes and functionalities.
