INMA Impulso: Annalisa Radeghieri, from the University of Brescia
INMA Impulso seminar: Insights into the biomolecular corona of extracellular vesicles for medical translation
- Speaker: Prof. Annalisa Radeghieri (University of Brescia).
- Date: 21 January 2026.
- Time: 12:00 PM.
- Venue: Sala de Grados, Edificio Torres Quevedo, Campus Río Ebro.
About the talk: During this session, Prof. Radeghieri will explore the biomolecular corona (BC), the dynamic assembly of proteins and other molecules that surrounds extracellular vesicles (EVs) and defines their biological identity and function. She will present the latest advances from her laboratory regarding the formation and evolution of this corona, highlighting its critical relevance for disease diagnostics (specifically antithrombin deficiencies) and the development of new EV-based therapeutic strategies.
About the speaker: Annalisa Radeghieri is an Associate Professor in Biotechnology at the University of Brescia and a leading international figure as the President and founder of the Italian Society for Extracellular Vesicles. She leads a multidisciplinary team that integrates chemistry, nanotechnology, and molecular biology to conduct biophysical and biochemical research into these particles.
This event is organised by the Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragon (INMA), in collaboration with the CSIC and the University of Zaragoza.
In addition, we would like to inform you that 0.5 ECTS credits will be awarded for attending at least 10 talks from the Condensed Matter Physics Department seminar series and the INMA Impulso series during the 2025-2026 academic year.
In principle, this applies to students of: Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Joint Physics-Mathematics Programme and Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. Here is the link to the Faculty of Sciences website where the offer is announced: https://ciencias.unizar.es/actividades-academicas-complementarias. It is also on the website of the Department of Condensed Matter Physics, in the NEWS section: https://fmc.unizar.es/noticia/reconocimiento-creditos-actividades-universitarias-culturales-y-complementarias.
This is an important recognition that may encourage new audiences to attend our series.
