“X-ray Photon Correlation Spectroscopy Studies of Equilibrium and Non-Equilibrium Dynamics in Materials” – Thursday, June 12, 12:30 h, Sala de Grados de la Facultad de Ciencias.
On Thursday, June 12, 2025, a seminar organized by the Department of Condensed Matter Physics of the University of Zaragoza will be held with Brian Stephenson, prestigious physicist from Argonne National Laboratory, who will give a lecture entitled “X-ray Photon Correlation Spectroscopy Studies of Equilibrium and Non-Equilibrium Dynamics in Materials”.
The session will take place at 12:30 pm in the Sala de Grados of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Zaragoza.
Brian is one of the great experts and promoters of synchrotron techniques based on coherent X-rays, and in fact he was the director of the Advanced Photon Source (Argonne) synchrotron source. In this seminar he will talk about the use of coherent X-ray beams for the study of dynamic properties in liquid systems and during the growth of crystalline materials.
