Seminar at NanoMat Master: Richard J. Nichols
Scanning Probe Microscopies: from Fundamentals to Single Molecule Electronics
We have the opportunity to follow the lectures “Scanning Probe Microscopies: from Fundamentals to Single Molecule Electronics”, to be given by Prof. Nichols from the University of Liverpool in the NANOMAT Master.
The sessions will take place on 27-28 February and 2-3 March at 16:00 and can be followed via the following Zoom link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86524082842 (Meeting ID: 865 2408 2842. Access code: nanomat).
Richard J. Nichols is a Professor of Physical Chemistry at Liverpool University. He is an expert in the field of scanning probe microscopy, particularly as applied to in-situ electrochemical measurements. He has over 150 publications in peer-reviewed journals, many of which involve the application and development of probe microscopy techniques. His key area of research from 2001 has been in developing single molecule measurement techniques using the scanning tunnelling microscope (STM), in particular for the measurement of electrical properties. Professor Nichols is a Fellow of the International Society of Electrochemistry.
