Presentation of the Complementary Plan in Advanced Materials
The Minister of Science and Innovation, Diana Morant, presents today in Gandía the Complementary Plan in Advanced Materials, a research programme co-governed and co-financed by the Government and the autonomous communities to consolidate R&D&I activity in the area of Advanced Materials.
The Complementary Plans are a new tool to promote research programmes in strategic areas, co-governed and co-financed by the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the autonomous communities within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
This plan seeks to consolidate R&D&I activity in the area of advanced materials, supporting scientific leadership in strategic lines and boosting collaboration between the participating autonomous communities through a programme of research, generation and attraction of talent and reinforcement of existing scientific infrastructures. It also aims to foster synergies between research centres, technology centres and companies to accelerate innovation and technological development.
The Valencian Community, the Basque Country, Catalonia, Aragon, the Community of Madrid and Castile-Leon will participate in the implementation of this programme. It will have an investment of 51.8 million euros, of which 29.7 million will come from the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
The INMA leads the scientific coordination of this Plan in Aragon, in which ITAINNOVA also participates.
