Ph.D. in Physics | Senior Researcher at CSIC

Member of the LEMA research group.

My research focuses on superconducting and functional materials, exploring how micro- and nanostructuring approaches can be used to tailor material properties for technological applications.

Main research topics:

  • Superconductivity: Analysis of high- and low-temperature superconductors
(including MgB2), with emphasis on key physical phenomena such as flux pinning, AC losses, quench behaviour, and thermal stability.
  • Laser Nanostructuring: Surface structuring (LIPSS and metasurfaces) of superconducting and functional materials (such as Nb, ITO, permalloy, and steels) using ultrashort-pulse lasers.
  • Laser Processing & Interface Engineering: Laser-driven processing to tailor superconducting properties and engineer functional interfaces for enhanced thermal transport in superconducting devices.
