Research Interests
I focus my research on the advanced applications of transmission electron microscopy (TEM), such as quantitative aberration-corrected scanning TEM (STEM) imaging techniques and off-axis electron holography to the analysis of nanostructure materials, particularly on the study of thin films of multiferroic oxides and ferromagnetic nanostructures.
My most important contributions have been related to the understanding of the effect of epitaxial tension on the local properties (interfaces, defects) of epitaxial oxide films, as well as the study and optimization of the magnetic properties of 3D nanomagnets.
