In this seminar, Sara Kayani will present the first-year progress of the Momentum project, focusing on the optimization of experimental parameters for electron ptychography applied to the ETS-10 zeolite. Electron ptychography is emerging as a transformative imaging technique capable of achieving sub-angstrom resolution and quantitative phase contrast, enabling direct visualization of both heavy and light elements in complex frameworks. The study systematically explores how experimental variables—such as scan step size, electron dose, and noise levels—affect the reconstructed image quality and structural fidelity. Through simulations and experimental data, the results highlight optimal acquisition conditions that balance resolution, dose efficiency, and robustness against noise. These findings provide essential insights for high-resolution imaging of beam-sensitive nanoporous materials and contribute to establishing reliable methodologies for quantitative structural analysis of zeolites.
