SUMMARY:INMA and IIS Aragón organise a multidisciplinary conference on challenges and solutions to antimicrobial resistance
DESCRIPTION:The conference, to be held on 26 and 27 November at Miguel Servet Hospital, will bring together professionals from the healthcare, scientific and industrial sectors to address this global challenge from a comprehensive perspective.\nThe Aragon Nanoscience and Materials Institute (INMA, CSIC–University of Zaragoza) and the Aragón Health Research Institute (IIS Aragón) are organising the conference “Shared Challenges and Integrated Solutions: Towards Effective Control of Antimicrobial Resistance” on 26 and 27 November. This multidisciplinary event aims to foster collaboration between the healthcare sector, the research community and industry in order to advance the prevention and control of antimicrobial resistance.\nAntimicrobial resistance is one of the major challenges facing global health, as it undermines the effectiveness of treatments against a wide range of infections. Its prevention and control require a coordinated response that takes into account the interconnections between human, animal and environmental health, in line with the One Health approach.\nTo this end, the conference will bring together healthcare professionals, researchers and representatives from industry to share knowledge, identify common challenges and explore new solutions based on research, technological development and innovation.\nThe programme is structured around three complementary sessions that will address the issue from different perspectives: healthcare practice and patient care, research and development (R&D&I), and the capabilities and opportunities offered by the industrial sector.\nThis initiative highlights the importance of collaboration across disciplines and sectors in tackling complex healthcare challenges, while emphasising the role of scientific research and knowledge transfer in the development of new strategies to combat antimicrobial resistance.\nDates and programme\nThursday, 26 November\n\n3:00 pm to 8:00 pm: Session dedicated to the healthcare sector and clinical practice.\n\nFriday, 27 November\n\n9:00 am to 11:30 am: Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I) session.\n12:00 pm to 2:30 pm: Session dedicated to the industrial sector.\n\nVenue: Training Rooms of UIT-IIS Aragón, Miguel Servet University Hospital (Paseo Isabel la Católica 1–3, Zaragoza).\n📝 Registration is now open:\nRegistration form\n📄 Promotional poster:\nConference poster\n
