SUMMARY:The fifth match of the IV National Absolute On-line Hi Score Science League begins.
DESCRIPTION:Haven’t played in the Hi Score Science league yet? Take part in the next game – Thursday 26th of January\nOn Thursday 26th January, the fifth game of the IV National Absolute Online League will start. Any user of any age and background can participate in the league, which will have a monthly online tournament until June. To participate in the league, simply download the Hi Score Science game from the Play Store and Apple Store and on PC and Mac (www.HiScoreScience.org) and play, with username and password, in multiplayer-online-tournament mode – «Curie». Users of all ages, backgrounds and locations in Spain can compete online in the tournament.\nEach of the league matches has specific prizes, so it is not necessary to have played in previous tournaments to participate in this tournament. The first three finishers in the next tournament will receive a winner’s medal and the first one a book. In addition, the top 10 will receive a certificate and all participants will receive points for the annual league.\nIf you haven’t played a match yet, don’t worry, there is still time to win. Remember that from this match onwards, every tournament scores double points.\nAll the information about the project and the rules of the different tournaments are available on the project website www.HiScoreScience.org.\nWhat is Hi Score Science?\nHi Score Science is a free videogame in Spanish and English, for mobile devices, PC, Mac and Linux that seeks to satisfy the scientific curiosity that we are all born with and that makes us wonder why things happen.\nHi Score Science is a game of questions and answers about science, which aims to go further than traditional games by involving users in scientific development and including informative explanations of the reality behind each answer.\nThe project has two modes of participation. The first allows users to take part in the development of the scientific content of the video game. To do so, users can submit their questions which, after review by a scientific committee, will be published in the game. The other mode allows users to demonstrate their scientific knowledge and compete with other users from anywhere in the world.\nTo encourage participation, several regional and national tournaments have been created with different categories: Senior (over 18 years old), General (from 14 to 18 years old) and Junior (from 10 to 14 years old) that will award trophies, certificates, gifts and scientific visits to the winners. All information and rules are available at www.HiScoreScience.org.\nA scientific team behind Hi Score Science\nThe Hi Score Science project has been developed between two research institutes, the Instituto de Síntesis Química y Catálisis Homogénea (ISQCH) and the Instituto de Nanociencia y Materiales de Aragón (INMA), both joint centres of the CSIC and the University of Zaragoza.\n
